The countdown begins at.....99

Sounds ludicrous I know, fancy starting the countdown already.

However I am just attempting this now so I'll know what to do down the track and I'm really just trying to avoid starting on the xmas cards that I should be writing.

When looking forward to any holiday, I always start getting excited when I know I have around 3 months till we set off on another adventure. I booked our airfares for March 2012 in late May this year in one of the Air Asia sales and have been glued to the TA Bali forum ever since, reading so many JBR's, Blogs,  questions & answers.

Do I always countdown?
Not really and I usually find that with only weeks to go that I have a lot to get organised and not much time to do it.
All the last minute questions with the main one being - have I done enough research?
"Too much" my hubby will say, as I constantly find something new to do or see. I'm sure he feels like we are going on some military training camp where each day is planned and executed to a set time table.

This time I'm trying to be organised in advance. So instead of trying to recall everything to write about after the trip and post a JBR, I've decided to do what many others on TA have done and capture the moments as I go along.
Bit like keeping a diary, although I've never done that either (even as a teenager).

So, who are we?
Hubby (Trevor) & I (Lee) heading off on our first trip to Bali. We are meeting up with our very dear friends (Sandy & John) and some of their other family & friends who we met at their wedding a few years ago. Sandy & John have two Bali trips under their belt, and we are hoping we'll fall in love with the country as much as they have.

Our last holiday was to Thailand in 2009. Since that time we have moved from Adelaide to Perth (big lifestyle change), so we are definitely ready for a relaxing break especially somewhere tropical with good food, great sunsets, great company and a few cocktails to add to the equation.

So there you have it, not much to get excited about, but enough to keep me interested in trying to do this blog thingy again.

I may as well see if I'm smart enough to add a photo, just for practice. LOL

This was taken at Big Buddha Cafe, Bophut, Koh Samui April 2007

Woo hoo, that worked!!!

Well, that's it for now. Fingers X'd I've done it all okay.
